Ingredients
  • 1 Pound ground meat of your choice, beef, turkey or chicken
  • 2 Tbsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 Small onion diced fine
  • 3 Tbsp Taco Sauce (optional)
  • 2 Cups Shredded Jack, Cheddar, Whatever cheese you love
  • Jar of your favorite salsa
  • Jarred jalapenos if you like spice
  • 1 Bag Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips
  • Garnishes of your choice: Sour Cream, Guacamole, etc.
Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to 350.
  2. In a non stick pan, spray the pan and add the ground meat. With a spatula, mince the meat until it starts to break up into smaller pieces. Cook for 5-8 minutes until it starts to brown.
  3. Add the onions, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, chili powder and salt & pepper. Cook the mixture for 10 more minutes. Add the taco sauce if using, mix well.
  4. Meanwhile, spread the tortilla chips on a cookie sheet in one layer. Put them in the oven and cook for 3-5 minutes until they start to color a bit and warm up. Take them out once you see them start to color.
  5. To the cookie sheet, add the meat in even layers all over the pan. Add the cheese, sprinkle it on the top all over. Add the salsa in several different areas. Add some jalapenos if using. Place the sheet back in the oven and then cook for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbling, melted and looks amazing.
  6. Server with your favorite garnishes.
